Description
This album features, Mountain, formed in 1969 by guitarist Leslie West, producer/bassist Felix Pappalardi, keyboardist Steve Knight, and drummer Corky Laing, quickly became a pioneering force in American hard rock and blues. Their debut album, "Climbing!", released in 1970, featured the iconic hit “Mississippi Queen,” showcasing their powerful sound and dynamic stage presence. Known for their intense live performances, including a notable set at Woodstock, Mountain’s unique blend of hard rock, blues, and heavy metal left an indelible mark on rock history. Despite lineup changes and the tragic loss of Pappalardi in 1983, the band’s core essence, driven by West’s gritty vocals and guitar work, persisted. Mountain’s legacy endures through their innovative music and lasting influence on generations of rock musicians.
