The 39th album by The Council Of Thirteen continues the progressive and classic rock sounds of the Council. 12 new epic songs written by keyboardist/composer John W. Edwards. This is a foray into the progressive rock sounds of the 80s and 90s most successful "art rock" bands. "High Noon", the title track is a progressive rock anthem about everyone facing their ultimate test in life. "The Pit And The Pendulum" is the classic Poe story set to haunting gothic rock music. "My Latest Phobia" is a Parsons-esque about a man who fears everyting. "Are We Really Alone" explores the existence of extra-terrestrial life and asks the age old question. "Unneven Symmetry" and "The Complete Sentence" are pure 80s commercial progressive rock with their tongue in cheek and thoughtful lyrics. Power ballads "I'm Not The Man I Need To Be" and "Like The Ending Of A Song" balance the rock influence of the album with intense emotional storytelling.
