This album features Pure Prairie League, an American country rock band established in 1965 in Waverly, Ohio, by Craig Fuller (singer/guitarist), Tom McGrail (drummer), Jim Caughlan (guitarist/drummer), and John David Call (steel guitarist). Formally founded in 1970 by Fuller, the band drew inspiration for its name from a fictional temperance union in the film "Dodge City" (1939). Pure Prairie League achieved five consecutive Top 40 LPs in the 1970s and added a sixth in the 1980s.
